Gentrification is big issue for a large number of people living in inner city areas Samsung, while apart of the latest phase of Kings Cross' regeneration, wanted to create a series of activations specifically designed to engage with the local community. Their aim was to make their state-of-the-art tech and venue an accesible resource for the local community. For us, it was an opportunity to elevate the profile of the existing community and clearly translate the value of underserved groups as part of the evolution of Kings Cross.
Working in partnership with B+A Agency, Minute Shorts and CYP we led the event production and curation to showcase short films exploring the Black male identity as a juxtaposition to the experience of Black men within spaces like their new hub. Designed for the presence of Black men, this event gave room and scale to the conversation around the intersectionality the Black male identity and the relationship it has with wider society.
